timber framing!

In the summer of 2024 I began designing a timber framed screen porch to be attached to a lake house that I was helping to build on Fish Lake in Scott, WI. Ben Spidahl, a friend and experienced timber framer, served as my mentor and was a huge help throughout the project. The timbers arrived in the fall and I cut the frame during the winter months. We raised the frame in June 2025 as a group of family and friends and it was an amazing experience all around.
